Bexley (Hermits) Walkers at Esher Festival

Bexley attended their first Walking Rugby festival at Esher RFC. The games were played in bright sunshine in what proved to be an enjoyable, fun, friendly well organised event.
Matches were played against Orpington RFC, Guildfordians RFC, Richmond RFC and Reigate RFC before a well earned lunch break.
Games against Amesbury RFC, Esher RFC, Decca (Surbiton) RFC and Gosport RFC followed during the afternoon, by which time our intrepid squad were well and truly ‘knackered’.
The camaraderie and respect shown between all teams resulted in a great day for players and supporters alike; a big thank you to our friends at Reigate who lent our ailing squad a couple of players in the last match.
We can’t wait to do it again.
