Volunteering

The club is dependent upon volunteers to run all aspects of the rugby, from the executive committee to the coaches and pitch-side support.

This page gives details of roles that are available for volunteers so why not take a look to see if you can help.

Most roles are a few hours a week and need no specific skills unless identified, only enthusiasm to help. Please be aware though, that any roles that involve the mini/junior section will require a DBS certificate recognised by the RFU, this is free for volunteers in rugby.

Our Welcoming Club

Bexley Rugby Club has been part of the local community in Bexley since 1957. We currently run men’s senior side on Saturdays, and women’s senior side on Sundays, and we also play occasional Veteran matches. In addition, we have a growing mini/junior rugby section with players U4 to U12, who play and train on Sundays.

As a rugby club, we are a friendly, social, inclusive, and welcoming part of the local community, and our players love the sport and enjoy the camaraderie that makes being part of a rugby team so special. This extends across all the club sections, male, female and children.

The ethos of rugby is unique in sport and encourages lifelong friendships both within the club and amongst the wider rugby community; our core values and principles are: -

Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
