Safeguarding at Bexley Rugby

At Bexley Rugby we believe that everyone is responsible for safeguarding and creating a safe environment in rugby union. We know that Safeguarding is paramount on how we manage our interactions with children and vulnerable adults. We treat everyone fairly and with equal respect and have a consistent approach across the club to protect all personnel from allegations of abuse or poor practice.

All children and adults are entitled to protection from harm and be able to take part in sport in a safe positive and enjoyable environment.

Everyone in a position of trust must hold an enhanced DBS or be supervised by someone who has one, whilst their application is processed. It is important that each person who works with children and vulnerable adults completes the Safeguarding course, ‘Play It Safe’ as soon as they can, along with the annual on-line Safeguarding module, ‘Introduction to Safeguarding’ to align with RFU guidelines.
