It was a lovely day, with both men and women winning their matches. A day to remember players past, and enjoy great rugby.

There was a bouncy castle, gladiator battle ground, BBQ, drinks, and rubgy matches all enjoyed by a good turnout. It is was our event where club members past and present, new and old, got together to celebrate the club and its members.

It was also a time to reflect on those who were no longer with us and fondly remember them, and their contribution to the club. A minutes silence was held out of respect.

The first match was the Women's XV who beat Clacton 57-0, followed by the men's team beating Southwark 75-42. Both extremeley entertaining matches. (Pictures linked below)

Overall a great day.

A total of £326.60, was made on the day which will go towards the LooseHeadz Charity, a foundation supporting mental health in rugby.

Bexley Rugby Blue & White Day - club celebration Saturday, 13th April

Our U7/8s, U9s and U10s had a great day at the Westcombe Park Festival last weekend. All teams were a credit to the club, showing skill tenacity and teamwork.

The U7/8 played and gelled well as a team, showing some great skill and passing. Their opponents were Old Colfeians, Maidstone, Beckenham and Bromley.

In our drive to ensure all players get a chance to enter festivals, our U9s joined up with Swanley to make a 'Barbarians' team. it was commented that 'they played so well, you would never known they had not played together before', a wonderful sentiment and recognition for them all. Their oppornents were Old Colfeians, Dartford Valley, Old Elthamians, and Maidstone.

As at previous festivals, our U10s joined up with Park House and had a successful day. Great skill was observed and excellent play by the team. Their opponenets were Brighton, Beckenham, Medway and Maidstone.

Overall, a great day for Bexley Rugby mini section. If you want to see them in action, next Sunday there is another festival at Avery Hill, near Eltham (SE9 2PQ), why not come along and support us, first match starts at 10am for all age groups.
